Listening Prayer

JULY 14, 2010

Do you want to hear God's voice? Jersak, a biblical scholar, discovered a big gap between what he found in the Bible and his own experience. As he wrestled with how to hear God more clearly, he discovered how to listen more deeply---and what had halted his spiritual growth. If your prayers get no higher than the ceiling and you hunger for spiritual authenticity, you may need to stop talking and start listening. Profound yet accessible, Can You Hear Me? is full of illuminating testimonies drawn from everyday life. You'll learn how to apply the practice of listening prayer in diverse areas such as parenting, social issues, church ministy, and everyday conversations.

HOW PEOPLE GROW

What is the connection between the Christian faith and your real life, your relationships and your growth as a person? It's a common experience that many sincere believers fail to make progress in some areas of their lives even though they work hard to apply the spiritual solutions they have been taught? They learn about God's love, yet continue to be depressed. They understand the crucified life, but still struggle with problems in their relationships. They focus on their security in Christ, but continue to overeat. "Spiritual Interventions" are not working for them.
In this series Dr. Townsend will share with you a practical approach to helping people grow; an approach that really works and has such transforming power in peoples' lives because their principles are grounded in both orthodox Christian faith and a key understanding of human nature. Dr Townsend with show you what the Bible has to say about personal growth and that God has answers to your difficult questions.

The secret to true joy, inner peace, sustaining hope, powerful purpose, and more is locked in their minds but has not been activated in their hearts, and lives.
The Secret Things of God reveals twenty profoundly simple secrets and gently guides readers in how to unlock the power of these truths and activate them in their lives. A Christian alternative to Rhonda Byrne's book "The Secret. The books title is based on the Bible passage,

Theophostic

Theophostic Prayer Ministry

Healing Life's Deepest Hurts is an introduction to Theophostic Ministry, developed by Dr. Edward Smith to help Christians become "free indeed." Two New Testament Greek words, Theos (which means "God") and Phos (which means "light") are combined to describe how the Light of the World, Jesus, can illuminate the darkness in our minds and bring us into wholeness. All of us need to have our minds renewed, whether we have suffered severe traumas or not, and to experience the love of Christ on a deeper level. Our own best efforts cannot release us from lifelong fears, shame, false guilt, anxiety and emotional pain. Only God Himself can make it possible for us to reflect His character and life. Theophostic Ministry brings us to a place where God can do this.
